British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program

British Columbia Immigration

British Columbia is Canada’s westernmost province, defined by the Pacific coastline and mountain ranges, and home to Vancouver, the country’s third largest city. The province’s economy is diverse and based on a strong natural resources sector, with a focus on forestry and mining. British Columbia’s culture is a unique blend of European, Asian, and First Nations influences, and its eight regions each offer dynamic and diverse features.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) permits the government to nominate people who want to live in BC and have skills and experiences that are in demand in the local economy for accelerated Canadian permanent residency. There are two ways to apply for a BC PNP nomination if you want to move to British Columbia. To apply, the first step is to contact the British Columbia PNP directly. The potential immigrant can then create a new Canada Express Entry profile and import their BCPNP nomination credentials into the immigration system if they are nominated.

Provincial Nominee Program in British Columbia (BCPNP)

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) intends to speed up the process for people who want to become permanent residents of Canada and want to live in British Columbia.

The programme is run by the British Columbia government in collaboration with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, the federal immigration department (IRCC). Interested candidates must go through a two-step process: first, apply for nomination with the province government, and then, if nominated, apply with the federal government for permanent residence.
