Discover Your Options For Immigration To Canada From India

Several options exist for Indians seeking to immigrate to Canada. The Canadian government is expecting that immigration will become increasingly important as the country recovers from the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The number of immigrants to the country will increase by more than a million between 2022 and 2024 to approximately 430,000 new citizens each year. In 2021, almost a third of all permanent residents who entered the country came from India.

Economic class members have access to approximately 100 immigration programs, including those managed by Express Entry and those managed by Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs).

Listed below are some great immigration programs for Indians in Canada.

Express Entry

Express Entry is the most popular immigration route in Canada. Applicants can use this system to apply for three immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class.

In the Express Entry pool, you can enter your information and receive your score through the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Your points will be determined by age, education, language ability, and years of skilled work experience.

Regular invitation rounds allow candidates with the highest scores to apply for permanent residency.

Provincial Nominee Program

In Canada, the provinces and territories nominate a particular number of economic immigrants each year for permanent residence. The PNP stream is intended for immigrants likely to fit in with the region’s labor market and economic conditions.

Several participating provinces and territories can now apply for PNP visas thanks to the federal Express Entry system. The Express Entry PNP stream, also called the “enhanced PNP stream,” allows provinces to nominate Express Entry candidates.

The province or territory can nominate Express Entry candidates to increase their CRS score by 600 points. A candidate may also be nominated by a PNP independent of Express Entry and then apply for permanent residency outside of Express Entry.

Studying and Working in Canada

A study permit is necessary for students who wish to study in Canada. With a study permit, you can work up to 20 hours a week during the school year and full-time during the summer.

If you meet the eligibility requirements, you may be eligible for the Student Direct Stream program, which will provide you with an accelerated study permit. You may also be eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).

Individuals who obtain this highly coveted work permit after completing their studies in Canada will be able to work anywhere to support their family.

Generally, the work permit lasts as long as your study program, so if you’re in a two-year program, you can get a two-year PGWP.

A PGWP qualifies you if you’re enrolled in a program that meets the requirements.

It’s a requirement that the Canadian government designates the learning institution as a learning institution, and the programs last at least eight months.
