IELTS – The International English Language Testing System, or IELTS, is the most widely accepted English language test in the world. This test provides an internationally recognised measure of a candidate’s ability across the four skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking on a 9-band scale. Over 10,000 organisations in 140 countries, including schools, universities, employers, immigration authorities, and professional bodies, have accepted it. This exam is used to demonstrate English language proficiency for higher education and international migration.

If you want to study, live, or work abroad, a high IELTS score can open many doors. Every year, over 3 million tests are taken by candidates all over the world. The test is available in two formats: General Training and Academic Training. It is a standardised test with a fixed format and the same assessment criterion. The outcome is given on a scale of 1-9. Candidates will be able to view their IELTS results online 13 calendar days after the test.

CELPIP

(Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) The CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) is a comprehensive English language testing programme for permanent residency in Canada. It is a different route for Express Entry candidates and applicants to other Canadian economic immigration programmes. Paragon Testing Enterprises, a subsidiary of the University of British Columbia, administers the exam (UBC). The test is entirely computer-delivered, allowing test takers to complete all test components in a single sitting with no additional appointments or interviews.

The CELPIP General test consists of the following components:

• Reading (55 – 60 minutes)
• Writing (53 – 60 minutes)
• Listening (47 – 55 minutes)
• Speaking (15 – 20 minutes)

The CELPIP Test results are available online in 8 business days. Test takers can also add Express Rating so that their results are available online in three business days.

PTE

PTE Pearson Test of English Academic, or PTE, is the world’s most popular computer-based English test for study abroad and immigration. Pearson Language Tests is a division of Pearson PLC dedicated to assessing and validating non-native English speakers’ English language usage. The test is based on real-life English skills, with academically relevant tasks and skills measured in an integrated manner. The test’s 100% computer-based scoring ensures that all test takers are scored fairly and accurately. It is accepted for all student visa and migration applications from Australia and New Zealand. The exam is given in over 200 test centres around the world on 360 days of the year.
