Alberta Provincial Nominee Program

What is Alberta PNP (Provincial Nominee Program)?

The Alberta PNP or Provincial Nominee Program is a programme that nominates people for permanent residence in Alberta, Canada. Nominees must have the necessary skills to fill job shortages or be planning to buy or start a business in Alberta. They must be able to support their families as well. The Alberta and Canadian governments are in charge of the programme.

If you are nominated through the programme, you and your spouse or common-law partner, as well as any dependent children, may apply for Canada permanent residency status.

Applications for permanent residence are handled by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Final decisions on these applications are also made by the federal government.

How many points are required for Alberta PNP Program?

Alberta has a structured selection process for skilled immigrants. This system is very similar to the Federal Selection System. Based on an individual’s personal credentials, the Canada PNP point calculator shortlists candidates with at least 67 points out of 100. Age, Educational Qualification, Work Experience, and English Language Ability are the credentials in the PNP score calculator. It also takes into account other factors such as arranging employment in the province (job offer from an employer operating within Alberta) and adaptability (previous work/study in Canada).

Which Alberta Provincial Nominee Program is the simplest to obtain Canada PR?

Alberta PNP is one of Canada’s most straightforward provincial nominee programmes for obtaining a nomination for Canada PR and, ultimately, the PR itself. The AINP Express Entry aligned Stream accepts applicants with CRS scores as low as 300 CRS points.

If you apply in the Alberta-Express Entry Stream and receive a provincial nomination, you will be eligible for an additional 600 CRS points in the Express Entry, which will help you obtain a Canada PR invitation from IRCC.

As a result, if your CRS point score is low, you can apply for Canadian permanent residency through the Alberta PNP this year.
