• Requirements for receiving an ITA from CIC:

An ITA is only valid for 60 days, and it is not possible to extend the deadline. As a result, it is in the best interests of applicants to prepare the supporting papers ahead of time, including gathering, evaluating, and scanning them (documents have to be in PDF format under 4MB).

If you are invited to apply, you will have 60 days to submit your permanent residency application. Most comprehensive applications with all supporting documentation will be processed in 6 months or less.

You don’t need an ECA for any degree you received in Canada because an ECA evaluates your education to its Canadian counterpart. While Express Entry isn’t necessary, if your spouse or partner has an ECA, you may be able to claim additional CRS points for their schooling.

Yes, if you obtain an Invitation to Apply for Permanent Residence under the FSW program using the Express Entry system. You will not receive any points under the Age factor of the FSW selection grid if you are over 50, but you can still apply.
